✅ America Yama Park
This is a multi-story urban park connecting Motomachi and Yamate. You can enjoy the view of the Marine Tower and the Bay Bridge from the park colored with roses and plants and flowers of the seasons.
✅ Harbor View Park
It’s a park on a hill overlooking the Port of Yokohama. From the viewing platform, you can see the harbor and Yokohama Bay Bridge. When Yokohama was opened to the world, this area became a foreign settlement with the British army on top of the hill and the French army at the bottom of the hill.
✅ Foreign General Cemetery
In 1854, when Commodore Perry returned to Japan with a squadron of seven warships for negotiations to open up the country, a marine aboard the Mississippi fell and died. It was founded when Perry requested for a piece of land looking over the port to be used for the burial of the marine and also as a cemetery for Americans.
✅ Motomachi Park
At this park which is located on Yamate street close to the Foreign General Cemetery, there are Western-style buildings including Berrick Hall, Ehrismann Residence, and Bluff No. 234 along with the remains of a memorial dedicated to the Great Kanto Earthquake and a waterworks factory.
✅ Alfred Gerald
He was one of the first French people to settle in Japan. He developed a water supply systems there.
